You know, I really wasn't surprised when Kate didn't cry on Santa's lap. She is such an even steven, she just kind of hung out with him. It was pretty cute.

Jeff and I get to rake lots of leaves in our yard, and Kate likes to hang out with us. I just love this picture, Kate is such a sweetie and we feel so blessed to have her!

Magic Happens

Thanksgiving

We had the best Thanksgiving! We went up to Idaho and had the best time visiting Dad, Beth, and Rachel, and seeing Jake and Angie, then Melissa and Zac, and even Uncle Jim and Jeanne and their family. We relaxed, played games (became a little addicted to video games!), ate lots of good food, and even got to go ice skating! Kate loved seeing a dog and cat for the first time, she loved them! I love officially being in the holiday season too! My dad, Jeff, and Zac even got our Christmas trees up there! Maybe we will decorate today...

Funny Girl

I had to catch this on picture because I just think it looks so funny. Kate loves these keys so much and always loves to put them in her mouth like this, then play with other things. It must feel good to her gums, but I love it!

Taking a Nap?

The other day I put Kate down for a nap and heard a little squeal (this is how she talks--very cute!) anyway, I went in to check on her and this is what I found! She is now expert at sitting up from any position, whether we lay her down on her back or stomach. She is very content with this newfound mobility! Everyone is happy!

Almost Crawling

Kate is getting so close. She can move all over and wants to, but just isn't quite there. Maybe by Thanksgiving?

I almost forgot--Halloween!

Kate was a little kitty cat for Halloween and was so cute. Jeff was a funny woman. Our camera has been broken, so I have been depending on the cell phone camera, and I didn't get a picture of Jeff. I will find one from someone though, because it was hilarious! Jeff always dresses up as something funny.


The hat was a little tight on Kate's head so she kept trying to pull it off. What a good sport!

Love the fall weather

We love the fall weather so much and unfortunately, have not gotten out enough. We took Kate hiking last Saturday up by the Copper Mine and it just felt so good to be outside. Kate loved it too. She was smiling and looking around at everything, I think we need to get her out more! There was already some snow up there too. In the snow, we saw a print that looked like a bird claw only it was huge? Any ideas what it could be? A pterodactyl?

Any Good Books?

I am always looking for a good read. I just finished the Twilight Series, which I loved, probably as much as Harry Potter, they were so good! If you haven't read them you should! Has anyone read any other good books or series lately? I would love suggestions!

Kate grew hair!

We were so excited. We got Kate up on Wednesday morning and she now has hair! We are very proud parents.

Vegas

We went to Vegas last weekend to visit Rick and Tanya and cute little Kyle and also to go to the BYU game. We had a really great time down there. Rick took us boating on Friday and Kate loved it. Luckily we came out with a win! On the way to Lake Mead, Kate got a little snackish:

Sit Kate Sit

Kate started sitting up around 5 months. I remember thinking just recently that when she sits up, then she will really be big, I can't believe it is already here! She is still a ways from crawling--at least another month.

Trip to California

Kate had a lot of firsts in September: She went on an airplane and she touched the ocean. We loved California. It was so fun to see my mom and Whitney! We had as good a time at the game as possible when you lose!

Kate eats solids (kind of)

Kate loves sweet potatoes. She hasn't been eating as good lately though. Any words of advice to fix that?

My First Blog

I have decided to enter the wonderful world of blogging. It seems fun. Kate is now rolling over (both ways) and is eating some solids! She is getting more and more personality and it is really fun. She always makes this funny face, I think it it hilarious.
