Happy Birthday Austin and Scott!!

I can't believe my two cute boys are 7!  They were VERY excited for this birthday and have been counting down/planning for months!

This is Austin with his new scooter

Scott with his funfetti cake

Austin chose scotcheroos for his cake.

Austin and Scott are such sweet good boys and bring so much to our family!  They chose to be in the same class at school this year and are loving it so much.  They VERY rarely fight and are such buddies, but also have other friends at school that they like.

For breakfast, they chose to have eggs, blueberry muffins and bananas.  We went out to lunch and went to McDonalds.  Scott chose Pizza Hut for his dinner, Austin chose French Toast.

They are doing SO well in school, both excelling in reading and math.  They also function well in the social aspects of class and are both so easy to get along with.

Both LOVE imagining what it was like while they were both in mom's tummy together--how one went and the other got in his race car and came after him so they could both be here together.  Also, activities they were doing in mom's tummy such as playing video games and boxing.  This topic has provided them with hours of speculation and entertainment.

We have continued to keep Austin's hair cut in a short buzz cut and Scott's long, it helps everyone tell them apart.

Christmas Partying in Idaho

We went up to Idaho the weekend before (and after Christmas).  We loved getting our Idaho fix.

One of the favorite activities was playing outside on Melissa and Zac's big hill.  Scott is pushing Kate and Teagan down here.

All the kids slept downstairs and had a great time!  From left, Austin, Ty, Scott, Teagan, Ellie, Kate

Grandma and Grandpa Durtschi had a Christmas party at their house.  Here, the kids are sitting while the player piano did it's thing.

Scott blue, Austin red  They also did a white elephant gift exchange--one for the adults, and one for the kids.  They were pretty fun and entertaining!

The weekend after Christmas, we went up for Teagan's baptism.  It was really special to be there for that!  We stayed with Jake and Angie and had such a great time!  Here is how the kids fell asleep one night at their house.

We sure love our Idaho family, so fun to visit and grateful to everyone who hosted our big group!!
