Cousins

With Thanksgiving coming, we have had the chance to get together with a lot of cousins we don't usually get to see! Kate has LOVED it! She is such a little social girl! She is pretty quiet around them, but loves to play! It is really fun to see her having so much fun. I forgot to get our Idaho cousins on camera, but this is Kyle. He will be living close soon, so hopefully they will get to play even more often.

Kate stuck her finger in Kyle's mouth--I don't know why and then pulled it out and said "ow." I guess he bit her, and it cracked me up for some reason, I guess that is why you don't stick your fingers in someone else's mouth!
They loved playing together with the car, I don't know why Kate was crying here, it just was such perfect timing! And Kyle is so laid back, probably wondered what was going on!Does this look a little too passionate for cousins?

This is a video of Kate and Kyle dancing--it was too big for Blogspot for some reason, but is pretty darn entertaining! These two are just good pals! They just cracked me up!

Funny Girl

I think a lot of posts are titled "Funny Girl" on my blog, but I just get such a kick out of Kate!

This is how you will find Kate a lot--she loves to wear my shoes! I love what a girl she is already!
These ones were NOT staged, my calculator is out a lot from tutoring and she loves to write in my little appointment book. It kind of cracked me up!
I did pigtails for the first time on Kate and I think they turned out so darn cute! You can see again she is wearing a pair of my shoes--this time some high heels that are her favorite! I love it!
Later on in the night--her pigtails came out, but she still had her wings!Kate loves to stretch with us after we exercise. The way she imitates us cracks me up.
I just love this little girl. She makes me laugh so much!

Girls Night Out

This was so much fun! I love talking with these girls! We all got together for Julie K's baby shower, and it was such a great time! She is due in about 6 weeks--almost there! We need to do this more often!

There are 5 of us pregnant and all with boys! Now probability was one of my weaker points, so one of you math people out there, correct me if I am wrong, but it seems like the chance of this is very unlikely. So each boy had a 1/2 chance to be a boy, so with 6 boys...
(1/2) x (1/2) x (1/2) x (1/2) x (1/2) x (1/2) = 1/64
there is only about a 2% chance! Good going girls!

"I'm looking for a gallon of milk"

Last night, in the middle of the night, I woke up to Jeff grabbing my feet. I asked him what he was doing and he said he was looking for a gallon of milk. (He couldn't remember what he was dreaming in the morning) I have to admit, I can't type this without laughing. Jeff always does funny things in his sleep!

BYU Saturday

We had a good time at the last BYU home game. Kate has been so good and she missed only one game! She must be a true fan! The weather was so nice and it was just a good time!

Kate loves my sunglasses!

I am so glad we got this on video! Kate usually claps really well during the song and this last game, she started doing the "Ra Ra" part by herself. I love it!

Shout out to my mom

(I stole this from my sister, I figure, if it well written already, why write it again? Now I understand why so many plagiarize--they are just saving time!)

So my mom is an amazing artist and she is so creative and is talented in SO many different areas. She teaches graphic design at FIDM (Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandise) in downtown LA and is simply remarkable.I think there is a TV show where the girls go to FIDM...yep, it's the same one.Well, they have asked her to do an art show in their gallery starting next week and going through Thanksgiving and I'm so excited to see what she puts together! I will post lots of pictures. Here is the flyer she made for the event:

One of her pieces "Merry White Tree in the Night" inspired a song that Kirby Heyborne ("The RM", "Singles Ward") wrote and so she designed his CD. (they happen to be neighbors). On opening night he'll be performing at the gallery while we get to look around and my mom's creative/funky/amazing artwork. If you are reading this and you know my mom or Kirby or you like funky artwork and want to have a night out on the town you should totally go! Here is her website if you want to see more of what she does (she is currently designing a new one which I've had a sneak peak of and it is so cool!):

Snow!

I am so excited about the snow! I love the first snowfalls of the year! I love the winter about November through December (By January, I am ready for spring since I don't do winter sports anymore!) Kate wanted to go out, but the crunchy sound of the snow scared her, funny huh!

Going Private

Well, I have been thinking about this for a while, I am always off again on again, but after hearing more and more weird things, I am finally decided.

So, if you want to read our blog, please send me your email. As soon as I get it, I will delete your comment.

And I am going to give a due date. Lets say December 1.

Fun times with the Loos and Funny Girl

Kate and Daddy cuddling on the couch

This was so funny. Today I went to the store and when I came home, I got Kate out of her car seat and she did not want to come in--for about half an hour! I kept checking out there and she was playing in the car. It was pretty hilarious!

Halloween

Well, it is almost 3 in the morning and I can't sleep! Crazy! I usually just lay in bed, but after almost 2 hours of that, I thought I might as well get up and do what I have been thinking about, then maybe I can sleep! I have always had an easy time sleeping, so this is kind of crazy!

It was a really fun Halloween! At 11:30, Kate and I went over to Jeff's work. They have a big potluck lunch (which was delicious, yum!) and invite all the families. Then all the kids go trick or treating around the office (and this is the way to go as I learned later on in the day). It was a lot of fun, just talking to other spouses and Jeff's coworkers, I always love an office invite. Oh, and of course, it was fun to show off Kate in her little costume. Kate has always been very unsure about her costume, but once she got in it and got distracted with all the free candy, she was great!

I have to mention that I made the costume and I am kind of proud of myself! I think it turned out pretty cute! It is a little bulky, but I just loved it! I had a lot of fun making it. (By the way, Kate is a lamb, a lot of people thought she was a bunny!)

Look for Jeff in the Jazz warmups

Kate after she started getting candy, she loved it!
We came home after that and Kate took a 3 1/2 hour nap! It completely wiped her out! Then we started the trick or treating again. We just wanted to go around our block--just a quick little outing--and just stop at the houses of friends. Well, 2 hours later, we decided there has got to be a quicker way! Holy Cow! It was really fun visiting with friends, but it really took all night. We went to around 20 houses, so next year, I think we will just go up and down our street, or possibly even settle for Jeff's office trick or treating. We have so much candy right now and the funny thing is that none of us are big candy eaters. I usually am, but I don't like sweets hardly at all (just because of pregnancy, this is NOT normal for me!!) and if I do have them, in extreme moderation, otherwise they make me sick. Kate can't handle a lot, and I don't want her having sweets 3 times a day, and Jeff loves the baked goods. I am sure we will finish it off, but it just makes me laugh. It was fun taking Kate around the neighborhood though.

And this is why it took 2 hours. Kate stopped, took out candy, lined it up, you get the picture.

All three of us--I dressed as The Cat in The Hat and put "Thing 1" and "Thing 2" on my stomach. I got the idea off the internet, I thought it was kind of cute!

After trick or treating, we went over to Jeff's brother's house to see Grandma and Grandpa and cousins. They looked so cute!

All in all, it was such a fun day. I just loved seeing Kate get so excited about the whole thing and starting to kind of get it! She was just so cute, and I have to say her little costume turned out so darn adorable if that is alright for me to say! And the funny thing, I was so exhausted and just didn't feel well, so I went straight to bed, and now I can't sleep--going on 2 1/2 hours. Hopefully doing this blog will get me tired!
