Winter Blues

It is that time of year, time for spring or summer.
I think it would be best if winter started the first of November, continued through Christmas, then spring started January 1st. Aren't we all ready for spring the first of the year anyway?

The funny thing is when July and August come, I am wishing for winter.

February

My cousin Sara inspired me to change the look of my blog--at least for Valentines Day. I like it. I will admit, this is such a fun time of year for me! My birthday is soon (February 8th--mark your calendars!) and Valentines Day, then lots of birthdays in my family. Does anyone else still get excited about their birthday? I get so excited. Even in August, I am thinking only 6 more months!

The Snow Wall

On December 8th, we got up in a rush, hurrying to drive to Idaho for my sister, Melissa's baby shower. I was going to let Kate wake me up, but she decided to sleep in, so I wasn't ready to go at the planned time. We rushed to get ready, then opened the garage door and saw this. We couldn't figure out what it was. This picture doesn't do it justice because I was a few steps up, but it was a wall of snow between 6 and 7 feet tall! This was courtesy of some dear friends Mike Neider, Jadee Talbot and Ty Williamson

Standing

Kate is now standing up everywhere--well pulling herself up everywhere. It is so crazy when you think of just a few months ago when we were excited if she reached for something! She just has such a fun little personality. We love our Katie girl!

Kate is smiling at Jeff after a delicious dinner. Yummy

A New Discovery

Kate has discovered under our bathroom sink where we have all kinds of lotions, soaps, baby washes, toothpaste, and lots of other treasures. It is so great because I can get ready and she is sitting right there playing happily!

Sledding

After Christmas, we came back home and hung out with the family. We went sledding over at the park. I'm not sure what Kate thought, but we had a good time!

Christmas

This is Christmas morning up in Idaho. Kate got a glow-worm from Aunt Alicia (that is what I always wanted when I was little!) It is fun to see your baby get what you wanted! We had a great time up there. It is such a cozy house and fun to be home again!

We had Christmas back at our house on the 27th, and as expected, Kate loved the wrapping paper. She actually was kind of interested in her presents, that was fun to see!

We played our new game called "Would you Rather" and it was pretty fun. I was supposed to do a handstand during the next 2 people's turns (I lasted about 10 seconds). I didn't realize how hard it is! I used to do them all the time when I was younger! It was pretty funny!

All in all, it was a great Christmas break! We got to see all of our parents because Melissa had her baby! Teagan came 3 1/2 weeks early! It was pretty exciting! He weighed 7 lbs 2 oz (I think).

Playing in the Snow

These are actually taken before Christmas, but one day, we decided we should take Kate out to see snow (our adventure lasted about 2 minutes!). I don't know what Kate thought. As usual, Kate had her normal expression on! It was fun for us at least!
