Halloween - The Avengers

For Halloween, the kids did an Avengers theme. Ty and Logan dressed up as Iron Man and Captain America

Carving Pumpkins

It was so nice to have Halloween on a Saturday this year. Since the kids don't have school on Fridays (online learning day), we carved pumpkins Friday.  Ty did a Shield symbol, Scott did a throwing up pumpkin, Austin did the stem for a nose and the face accordingly, Kate did swirly eyes, and Logan did the potato head pumpkin (then started just carving into in the side)

We always tried roasting pumpkin seeds for the first time (this might have had something to do with how independent all of the kids are getting). We had a lot of fun!

One Last Camping Trip

For Fall Break, we did one last overnight camping trip out to Skull Valley. We went with the McIntyre's and the Bolke's and had so much fun together!

Here is Jeff riding down from the pond.

It was pretty cold the first morning, this is ice coming out from this sprinkler

Here are all the kids together. They all got charcoal and drew all over their faces (I am cringing still as I type this!)

The kids had SO much fun together and so did the adults. We will definitely be doing this again!

Bringing down a Tree, a quilt, and some Axe Throwing

Logan had to get 4 cavities filled! It was a rough visit.

For the ward cleanup, we had to take down a tree in front of the Hall's house (formerly the Jones')

Mom has been working on this quilt for a few months and just finished. It is for Mom and Dad's bed.

Just getting ready for bed--brushing teeth, in pajamas and saying family prayer.

Logan was wearing these glasses and asked if he looks like Aunt Melissa (I think he saw some pictures from when she was a baby)

The McIntyre's invited Mom and Dad to go on a date with them--first to dinner at Red Iguana, then some axe throwing. It was so much fun!

A Very Medical Week

Mom took Ty and Logan in to get flu shots. It was right before lunch. Both boys got the flu shots, then we headed down the elevator. In the elevator, Ty started saying he felt dizzy. Mom thought he might just be being funny, but when the elevator stopped, Ty walked out and was leaning heavily on Mom. He ended up laying on the mat in front of the elevator. Mom called the doctor's office and they said we could get some apple juice. Mom ran up and got the apple juice and brought it back to Ty. Ty drank it, then we got in the car. Ty was not looking good, skin a weird color and lips looking grayish, then he threw up. At this point, Mom carried Ty back into the doctor's office (with Logan trailing along) because Ty really couldn't walk. A bunch of nurses and doctors came in to take care of Ty--taking blood pressure, checking vitals. The doctors decided that it seemed like vas o vega--basically a reaction to the flu shot when blood pressure drops. They watched him for a couple of hours, we got some food in him and he settled down. This was pretty scary and we are glad our Ty is okay. One thing--he definitely needs his food! We think it might have been a case of low blood sugar as well--basically just a perfect storm of conditions.

Two days later, Logan was playing out on the tramp. He came in crying that he "almost fell off the tramp." We couldn't decide for a minute whether to take him in for stitches or not. After thinking about it, we decided to since it was on his face in such a prominent place. So off Mom and Logan went to Instacare.

Logan loved getting a sucker and watching some Paw Patrol on Mom's phone. They ended up using a special glue and special tape to glue it together.

Logan was a pretty good sport.

Mom and Dad hope for more relaxing days ahead!

Fall Break in Oakley

For Fall Break, the Neiders invited us to go up to their family cabin with them near Oakley. We were thrilled to go up!
Austin, Scott, Logan

We were really loving the horses near the cabin.

(Mom may have been dreaming a bit)

The kids loved picking grass and feeding the horse. They also were taking down apples and carrots to feed the horses. Scott is below feeding the horse.

Mike demonstrating

Mike, Dad, and Mom loaded up the machines (we took our trailer up) and went riding over at Smith and Morehouse. It was a little scary because we saw some hunters actually hunting on our ride (probably not the smartest ride) but it was beautiful (and VERY rocky). It was fun to explore a new place.

Mom on her four wheeler (Dad was nice enough to let her borrow his coat)

Dad and Mike took all the kids swimming at a place in Kamas while Jamie and Julie hung out at the house and read and relaxed. It was fantastic!

This creek ran right by the cabin

All of these boys loved playing together

Kate and Maisy built a fort together

It was such a great few days away. We enjoyed the Neider family so much!
