Thanksgiving in Idaho

We went up to Idaho for Thanksgiving and had such a great time!

The kids had little Christmas carol books.  They would all run to the hill at Melissa and Zac's house, practice, then come ring the doorbell and perform for us.  They did this for a couple of hours!

We even were able to sneak in a visit to Great Grandma Packer.  It was so fun to see her!
Logan was taken with her!

Jake and Angie let us stay with them for the weekend.  Here is Ty "helping" Logan figure out this toy.

We spent Thanksgiving at Grandma and Grandpa Durtschi's house.  Here is Ty in the 4x4.  The kids loved it so much, Grandpa drove them around for a long time.

They even got stuck a couple of times and the kids had to help push it out.

Here are all of the kids pulling a tow rope to get it out.  (Mom was worried, but it all ended well)

Kate felt slightly outnumbered by all of the boys!  We all loved playing Connect 4 at Jake's house--it even inspired getting it for our Christmas Eve game.

We had such a fun weekend--great to spend time with lots of family!

Ty was thrilled to get a chance to feed Logan a bottle

We have had the most unseasonably warm November.  We spent a lot of time playing outside.  The kids made up a new game where they set all the cones up, then take turns running into it and knocking it down.  This lasted most of the day!  (Scott in red, Austin in blue/yellow)

Ty got all of the kitchen stuff moved into his room

Austin and Scott reading a big lego book (both boys check out these type of books every chance they get)

Big Boy is 7 months old

Oh man do we love this little guy.  Such a fun little pleasant peach!  He is growing bigger, starting to work for toys (but really does not enjoy tummy time)

Logan is saying goodbye to this cradle this month.  He is getting too big.  We also started noticing this month that one of his eyes seemed to be going in (his left eye in this picture)

We sure love you special boy!

Kate's Principal's Pride

Kate got Principal's Pride in November for doing an exceptional job on her haunted house.

Here is the Principal introducing her

We are so proud of you Kate!

BYU football games with Dad

Kate got to go to the BYU vs UCLA game with Dad.

Austin got to go to BYU vs Toledo

Mitt Romney was even there!

At one of the BYU games, Dad even ran into his old buddy Steve Frost who lives in Texas.  They were pretty excited!

Funny story:  Every time Dad is taking one of the kids to the game, he says, "Okay, quiz time:  What is that great body of water called?"

On Kate's turn, she said The Great Salt Lake.

On Austin's turn, he said Utah Lake (right).

When Scott went weeks later and Dad asked the question, Scott also replied Utah Lake.
Dad was so impressed, but Scott said, "It isn't really fair because Austin told me before the game."
Austin had told Scott, "If Dad gives you a quiz, the answer is Utah Lake."
