Happy 1st Birthday Ty!

What a year this has been with this lover boy.  We are so blessed to get him in our family.  He has been a LOT of work, but we have all enjoyed him so much!

He had just gotten over being sick so I'd like to think he would have weighed more, he's supposed to be our chubby baby!

Weight:  20 lb 6 oz  (15th percentile)
Height:  29.5 in (30th percentile)
Head 47 cm (62nd percentile)

This picture pretty much sums up Ty's life, little people surrounding him, interested in him, wanting to help, and loving him. (Austin, Kate, Ty, Scott)

Ty started standing on his own right around this time.

Ty loves clapping, it is so cute!

Ty trying his first cake, he loved!!

Love you little man!

Christmas

We let Ty sleep in, but Kate, Scott, and Austin were so excited!

Austin with his new Rescue Bot

Ty was really fun, he wasn't sure what it was all about, just that we were all in there having a good time.

Grandma and Grandpa Lewis came over in the afternoon to give the kids their presents.

This is what the kids did ALL DAY LONG!  And the next few days too!

Austin was very excited to get his police Lego set.

Kate was also excited for her American Girl doll

Scott with the Razor Scooter he had been wanting

We all worked together on the sets all day, putting things together, etc.  It was such a nice Christmas day!

Christmas Eve

We had a very festive Christmas Eve.  Whitney came over and we all made Gingerbread houses.  It was very sticky, lots of candy, super glue and good times!

Austin with his house, he was very proud of it!

Later on...We had Grandma and Grandpa Lewis over for dinner and some fun.  Ty, Kate, Scott, Austin (who chose to stay in his pajamas all day--seems to happen a lot!)

Scott, Kate, Austin in new Christmas pajamas and slippers.

We then read the Christmas story, then Twas the Night before Christmas

Played a new family game.

Then Don't Eat Santa, a new favorite

We're so glad for the company that joined us throughout the day and grateful for the chance to celebrate Christ's birth and enjoy the spirit of the season!

Christmas time Idaho visit

We went to Idaho the weekend before Christmas.  We hadn't been since Memorial Day weekend, so I was so homesick for my family and the kids were all excited to see their cousins!  Jake and Angie were nice enough to host our brood and we had such a great time.  The kids played together so well and Kai and Jax were so nice about sharing toys (which must have felt like a tidal wave of kids coming in to take over!  Sweet boys!)

There were also some serious games of foosball going on, and only one mishap!

What a peach!

Brian and Elise hosted a party for everyone at their house.  We had such a great time!  The kids got to open some presents from Grandma, lots of good cousin play time, intro to video games (Austin and Scott would be so addicted!), talents, taffy pulling, and just a great time!  It was so nice to be with family again!

The next morning, Grandma Packer came over to Jake's house to bring the kids their individual presents.  She made each grandchild a stuffed animal that she had made.

She also gave each family a train set.

Everyone had fun putting it together.

On our way out of town, we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Durtschi's house.  The kids had so much fun riding the snow machine with Grandpa.  They each got a ride, it's always a party with Grandpa Durtschi!

Austin wanted to go on a fast ride, he loved it!

And when they got home, the kids set up Santa's sleigh with the stuffed animals they had just gotten and a couple of their own.  Only 2 more days til Christmas!
We loved seeing everyone, can't wait to go back!
