Happy 8th birthday Kate!

It was this sweet girl's 8th birthday, she is so grown up.  One of her very favorite things was to wake up to decorations.

And of course, breakfast in bed

She got to open some presents that morning...scriptures, journal, and a new pink umbrella

Birthday party with the Lewis family

Kate also got to have a friend's birthday party this year and invited 9 friends
The first activity was a treasure hunt.  The girls LOVED it!  They ran around popping balloons, figuring out clues and having a great time!

This was the puzzle clue, they had to put together a puzzle to figure it out.  The white paper was their first clue, it was put together by Grandma Packer and was an alphabet/number clue.

Running back from the Ballifs with big bags full of balloons.  They also had to drink glasses of lemonade and letters were on the bottom.  I think mom had as much fun making the hunt as the girls did finding the clues!

This was a yarn toss game.  The girls would wrap the yarn around themselves then toss to another person until it looked like a spider web.  After it was a big mess, they had to get themselves untangled.

We had so much fun celebrating Kate's birthday.  She is such a special girl and we are so glad to have her in our family.  Here are some of her favorites right now:

Favorite color:
Favorite book:
Favorite activity:
Favorite movie:
Favorite treat:
Favorite dinner:

-She loves painting her nails, then will run outside and play in the dirt, catch ladybugs or any other bug, loves playing with her brothers

We love you Kate!

Funnies

The kids were chatting in the back about a family that moved to our area recently.

Kate said, "I wonder why they moved here."

Scott said, "Maybe their house got so old it exploded."

Scott to Mom:  Mom, even though you are 31, you really look 80.

Um...Thanks

Scott(looking at airplanes flying past):  Is that our plane?
Mom:  What do you mean 'our plane?'
Scott:  The plane we flew on for the Disney Cruise.
Austin (authoritatively):  Yep, it is

Ty:  You know that moment when you can't find your child and have looked everywhere frantically and are about ready to call the police--this happens with Ty about 3 times a day.
