Lewis Family Reunion

We went to McCall, Idaho for the Lewis family reunion in June.  It is about 2 hours north of Boise.

On the way, we stopped in Twin Falls and looked down at the huge ravine.  We actually saw someone base jump off the bridge.  (Jeff, Kate, Scott, Ty, Austin)

After 9 hours in the car, we finally arrived.  The accommodations were so comfortable, here the kids are watching some cartoons one morning with cousins (Scott in the yellow)

We went on a hike up to a lake, it was 2 miles each way (and we left the lunches in the cars, oops!), but the kids all did so great and it was really enjoyable!

Jeff and I alternated carrying Ty up.

Tyler was so sweet helping Grandma when she was tired.

Jeff carrying Ty, then Scott

Here we are at the lake, this is all the cousins.

Of course, the ball was thrown around at the top.

Abbey and Ty were buddies all weekend, she just loved him and spoiled him, he loved it!

One of the days, we did a track meet.  There was a school right behind the cabin and it provided lots of entertainment.  We were all surprised at the kids' endurance!  There were short kids' races, a relay, and even some adult races.

Ty and Finley raced.

This is downtown McCall, it was a cute little touristy town.

On the way home (we made it home a lot faster--just 8 hours)

Not pictured--the many hours spent by EVERYONE playing soccer and other sports, playing on the playground, swimming and just enjoying each other's company.  It was such a fun weekend, can't wait til next year!

Ty is 18 months!

At 18 months,

Weight:  24 lbs 40th percentile
Height:  33 in  65th percentile

Ty:
-loves his Blanky and bubba
-recently transitioned from bottles to sippy cups
-loves Barney
-recently will sit through a book
-communicates well, but with grunts, not words (although he is starting to say words very sparingly...mama, dada, cah (Kate), bubba, this, thank you, all done)
-loves to play outside and go places, Ty will run and get his shoes when it's time to go
-loves my phone and thinks it is his
-constantly makes us all laugh (and will laugh too when everyone is laughing)
-is a pretty decent eater and getting better, loves tomatoes!!
-loves to get the mail with dad (and pretty much anything else with dad too)
-loves his mama, snuggles and when he's really sad (and will start crying the second mama comes home from anywhere)

We are celebrating Ty's half birthday since it's so close to Christmas.  He got this Little Tykes car.  He was so excited that he just sat right in it when we were putting it together.

And was VERY upset when we had to turn it on it's side, here Ty is trying to pull it back up.

Ty eventually would share without crying as long as he got to push.

We had a birthday party with the Lewis family with him.  He liked the cake.

Present from Grandma and Grandpa Lewis

Ty loved bouncing around from person to person

This little man has been so fun and has brought so much joy and love to our family!  We love you Ty!

Happy Father's Day Jeff!

No incredible pictures this year, but we sure do love this guy!  The kids all got Jeff cards along with little presents they bought with their own money.

June Camping

We went on a 2 night camping trip up to the Spruces.  The car was packed to the max--the kids had to get in, then we finished packing (luckily, it was a short drive)!!

This crew went and looked for some firewood right away (Jeff only feels comfortable if we have enough to last about a week)

We loved relaxing (Scott, mom, Ty, Austin, Kate)

The second day we hiked above Silver Lake in Brighton resort, we went up to The Twin Lakes.

Silver Lake behind us (Scott in the Nike shirt, Austin with the orange shirt)

At the top, the first of the twin lakes.  The kids were such great hikers on this 3 mile (roundtrip) hike.

Back at camp, Ty loved playing in the dirt with buckets and trucks.

Our second night, we had some visitors, all the in town Lewis family came up to have dinner with us.

Our last morning, we had a yummy breakfast of pancakes and eggs, yum!

All in all, it was a success!
