Camping at Skull Valley

Uncle Dave called about a week ago and wanted to come camping with us out at Skull Valley. We have been home bound since March 15 so we were dying to get out and be with family!

Dave rented this 2 seated Razor.

Kate and Kali worked so hard to dig this hole throughout our days there.

Kate, Austin and Scott wanted to set up a tent that they could sleep in. They are getting really good at setting this up.

We went on a family hike one morning.

One morning around 11, we realized our water was completely gone (we had filled it up on a slope so it didn't have much to start with). Since we still had a few days left to camp, Mom and Dad decided to go ask one of the people that lived close if we could pay them for some water. A person was so kind as to let us use their water (and wouldn't accept money). By the time Mom and Dad filled up and were heading back to camp, a big storm was coming. Meanwhile, the 5 kids were back at camp, hanging out in the tent, trying to keep it from blowing away. Mom and Dad made it back and everyone went in the trailer while it poured rain for 2-3 hours. Everything in the tent got completely soaked. We didn't play much 9 square this weekend, but we were glad we brought it to dry everything out!

Logan had his 4th birthday while we were out here and we had a party for him. This was his present - the Paw Patroller, complete with 5 little cars.

Scott crashed, but luckily, wasn't hurt too bad

A few weeks later, we went again with the Speths, we tried a new spot and really liked it.

Someone had brought up a bunch of bricks for the fireplace. When we got there, it was a complete mess. Dad worked hard on it and made it look so neat. It was a good looking fire pit!

Coronavirus Fun

Kate has been cooking a lot while we are all home together.

When we go to the store, we have to wear masks. We have never worn masks for any sickness before this. Uncle Brian sent us a bunch of these N95 masks.

One day, Ty had to take pictures of spring for an assignment. He took these pictures of our tulips and daffodils.

We love having Dad home all the time!

On an afternoon, some jets from Hill Air Force base did a fly over around the whole valley. It was pretty incredible. Dad and the four older kids climbed on the roof to watch.

Mom has been working on this quilt. This is one square of it (the fabric is cut into 4 inch squares). Mom and Dad need a new quilt for their bed.

Someone brought us donuts!

Scott is making a space ship for Logan.

It has been a different time, but we have been enjoying being home together (for the most part).

General Conference

General Conference was very different this spring. No one was invited to the conference center so that social distancing could be observed. We watched it at home.

Logan LOVED doing puzzles during conference and was very focused.

It was different, but definitely a comfort during a crazy time!

April Fools

We got really into April Fools Day this year. At the start of the day, no one was doing much, but Austin really got everyone going. He was doing great tricks all day.

The one that was the scariest for Mom was this one. He printed this paper off the internet and glued it to Mom's phone, making Mom think the screen was cracked. Mom totally fell for it!

Mom photo-shopped this picture and posted it on Facebook announcing Dad just got a new dog.

It was a fun and very silly day at the Lewis house!
