1st Day of School

To the Lake with the Bolke's

The Bolke's invited us to go to this lake up by Park City again.  We saw a big moose again.  Mom about got plowed by it.  Mom was walking up the road (behind the moose) after going on the zipline.  Mom couldn't see the moose barreling down the mountain.  Luckily, Kate and some friends yelled out a warning before the moose and Mom met.

We had such a great time with our friends and family!  It is a great way to send off summer.

A bunch of raspberry-peach jam, yum!!!

Our peach tree produced a lot this year.  Mom and Dad (mostly Dad) propped up the branches with skis, ladders, etc. so branches wouldn't break.

The Cube

This is a family favorite game.  One kid get inside the cube and try to stay in it as Dad rolls it every which way.  Lots of entertainment here!

Mom even took a turn this night and only lasted one turn.  This may not be Mom's game, but the 5 kids are pretty good at it!

1st Day of Junior High

Kate was so excited for junior high all summer.

Then the first day of school came.  She begged and begged and begged Mom not to make her go.  Mom said Kate did have to go and she did have to take a before school picture.  These are the results.  Kind of perfect for the first day of junior high.

Kate has since decided junior high is alright.

Packer Reunion at Wolverine Lodge

We did the Packer reunion this year at Wolverine Lodge near Shelley, Idaho.  We had SO much fun, it was an amazing place to stay at.

We had a bowl of watermelon Scott and Logan loved to snack on.

We went on a hike up to some caves that was just down the road.  Here are Logan and Sasha (Sashenka)

Kate might be getting a kick to the face from Ty at some point in the night.

Everyone wearing their blue shirts the Grand made.  There was a private pond behind the house.  There was a slide, diving board, kayaks, diving boards and even a zipline into the lake!

All of the kids loved getting in the hot tub and playing.

Grandma also made bandanas for everyone.

Also, there was a billiards table and we played a game there almost the whole weekend, tons of space, a theatre, and a fun upstairs playroom. Everyone had a great time!
