Christmas Parties in Idaho

We went up to Idaho twice during the Christmas season for Christmas parties.  We always love an excuse to visit!

One afternoon, Dad took Scott and Kate on a little outing to the Snake River and the Greenbelt.  They loved getting out.

Logan and Austin at Jake's house

Logan and Leo really started enjoying each other.  Here they are fighting (in a friendly way) over this phone.  It was pretty darn cute!

The kids really loved the new baby Everly.  She is sure a peach!  Here is Austin holding her.

At Grandpa Durtschi's house, we had a party to celebrate Grandma Durtschi's 60th birthday and a Christmas party.  They got all of the kids Christmas presents.  Here is Ty with Teagan's nerf gun.

Here are all of the kids waiting patiently to open their presents.

All of the kids wanted to "help" Grandma Durtschi open her and Grandpa's present from us.

The kids were loving the wonder blocks at Jake's house

We love our Idaho family so much!  It was so fun to spend time with everyone!!

Kids' Christmas Programs

One of our favorite parts of Christmas is attending all of the kids' Christmas programs.  Here is Austin standing next to Abraham.  This was such a cute program, the kids sang a few songs, but the two favorites were Mele Kalikimaka and the 12 Dogs of Christmas.  These two boys did an awesome job!

At Austin and Scott's Christmas party (Mom is the room mom this year)

This was at Kate's program.  The kids narrated the whole program, they had little jokes inbetween, little skits, musical numbers, etc.  They did a really awesome job!  Here is Kate with Brooklyn on her right.

Here is Ty being a tree at his Preschool Program.  He was so cute.  He had a couple of parts and he got right up and said them.  His main part was, "T is for tinsel that hangs from the tree."  He got up and said it perfectly!

Ty even got to sit on Santa's lap and tell him what he wanted for Christmas.

The kids worked really hard on their programs and we were glad to get to go see them!  Good job kids!

Temple Square Christmas Concert

We were able to get some tickets to the Christmas Concert on Temple Square.  It was featuring Sutton Foster and Hugh Bonneville, we had such a great time!!

We invited the McIntyres to go with us.  Zac and Melissa also had tickets and came down with their family.  We took all of the older kids.  We rode Trax to downtown, it was definitely a highlight.

At the concert:  Mom, Dad, Austin, Ian, Scott, Kate, Cini, Chris, Andy (Zac and Melissa had different seats)

After the show:  Scott in front of the Salt Lake temple

On the way home--a little tired, but still having fun! (Austin, Kate, Mom, Scott, Dad behind)

We had a great time and really enjoyed the concert!

Zac and Melissa then spent the rest of the weekend with us and we all had a great time as usual!!

December Happenings

Sad Logan

We went caroling with the McIntyres--we all piled into our van and had a really great time!

Austin, Ian, Cini, Kate, Ty, Logan, and Scott in the front

Logan loves going out to the garage and bringing this lawn mower inside

Logan has also recently discovered how much he loves helping!

These two love to play together.  This is one of their favorites--flip the piano bench over and use it as a little bunker.

Logan LOVES to play outside.  He feels pretty sad if the big kids go out without him!

Ty can make his own peanut butter and jelly sandwiches!  This kids is growing up!

Logan loves getting "loves" from everyone when Mom says no or if he gets hurt (and the big kids love being the one Logan runs to!)  Scott is standing, Austin is patting Logan's head.

We went to the church where Bridget Buckner had her baby blessed and went to a luncheon after.  Logan loved cuddling with Jeff Buckner.
