Camping in Downey

We went camping in Downey with Melissa and Zac and family and Marian and Cody and kids. We all had SUCH a fun weekend together. The adults loved talking and laughing and the kids loved playing and playing and playing.

The younger crew loved playing on the blanket with some toys that were brought.

The men got a bunch of logs and cut up a ton of wood- we had no shortage!

The kids loved playing in the hammocks

One morning, these three young men decided to hike to the top of a nearby mountain. It was tough, but they made it, we watched them through binoculars. It was pretty fun cheering them on!

There was a creek near camp that the kids loved playing in.

It was such a fun weekend together. After, Melissa and kids were planning on coming and spending a week with us in Utah. After we had been on the road an hour, we got a call that there had been a major problem. Zac had been driving, the truck started on fire and their whole truck and trailer had burned up, there was nothing left. It was pretty scary, but we were so relieved to hear that Zac was okay. Melissa immediately turned around and headed back to pick up Zac and go home. It started a pretty brutal time for Melissa and Zac. However, they have since gotten a plan and are making things happen!

Memorial Day Weekend

We have not seen any Idaho family since Christmas, so we were SO excited to get up to Idaho!

Of course it snowed!

We went over to Brian's house for a barbecue and the kids loved playing on this dirt hill by Brian's house.

We did church at Melissa and Zac's with Grandma Packer

We loved playing a lot of pickleball (it was cold, but worth it!)

Building with Brian's MANY blocks

Saying goodbye. We love our Idaho family!
