BYU Basketball Game

We went to the BYU season opener against Long Beach State.  The kids were excited to go.  Ty was freaked out about being so high and sat on my lap the entire game (sitting still is unheard of for Ty!)  It made it a lot easier to keep track of him.

As part of tradition, we stopped at the BYU bookstore, looked around and got a treat.  It's always fun to be back on campus and the kids enjoyed at least the first half of the game before asking to leave.

Scott at dinner time says, "Guess what my favorite thing in the whole wide world is."  Mom guesses family.  Scott says, no, that's second.  Soda pop is first.

Scott says, "What if my name was Mr.Mrs.?
Austin replies, "Yeah, then you would be a boy, but have long hair!"

At dinner time, mom tries to sneak and get the croutons out, but inevitably, Ty hears that unmistakable crinkle sound, turns around and says, "Mom?" and gets his crouton.

At a BYU game, the 3 older kids had to go to the bathroom.  In the bathroom, Austin saw the urinal, and concerned, said, "Uh oh, we can't use the toilet, it doesn't have any batteries."

Kate's First Piano Recital

Kate is now in her second year of piano and is tolerating it.  She is improving and really enjoyed her recital.  She played "Spider Dance" and had to introduce herself (she did great, Kate does well speaking in front of crowds) and was asked to say two things she liked--soccer and reading.
We are so proud of our girl!

Family Time--Courtesy of Kate's Photography Skills!

Kate took all of these pictures!  She's getting good!

We looked through my ipad and found a bunch of funny videos and pictures from Kate.  We loved looking through!

Ty is growing up!

This little man brings out every emotion in the house these days.  He is SO fun and also can be so frustrating as he explores this world!  We all can't get enough of this little man!
Ty is talking a lot--he babbles a lot, but we are now starting to understand some of the things he says:
-Mama     -Dada     -Kate     -Austin      -Scott     -Over there (O der)     -Right there     -All Done
-Uh Oh     -Ouch    -Hi, Bye     -Hot     -Toes     -Shoes     -Car     -Truck

And lots of babble that probably means something but we just don't quite understand!

Ty also hopped on a Strider the other day and rode it all over the place by himself.  I was pretty impressed.  (I made him wear a helmet and he hasn't wanted to when I'm around!)

He is obsessed with lights and loves turning them on and off (along with any other device)

He loves computers, phones, and things that seem fragile or easily breakable.

He is obsessed with cars and ALWAYS has a little car or truck that he is either pushing around or sucking on.

He only has his bubba at sleep time and seems okay with it.

He was apprehensive at first with nursery, but now loves to go and cries when it's time to go.

He is a smart little guy and communicates well.  We love our Ty Ty!
