Legoland

We went to Legoland a few years ago.  The kids loved it so much that they begged to come back.  All of the kids enjoy legos, so that made it fun.

This ride was a favorite--Ninjago.  We went on this one a few times!

We went on the Technic Coaster A LOT!

There were Lego sculptures all over the park, they were pretty cool.  This is Kate.

The Mormon Battalion

We arrived in San Diego on a Sunday, so we wanted to do an activity that was Sunday related.  With that in mind, we visited the Mormon Battalion site.

Addie and Ellie rode in our car for a couple of hours before we got to San Diego.

This covered wagon is outside of the Mormon Battalion.  The Mormon Battalion is located in old town San Diego.

Scott got to help by dressing up as one of the Mormon Battalion soldiers.

Panning for gold--the kids each got to keep a piece.

This tree is in another part of old town San Diego.  We walked all around this area after seeing the Mormon Battalion.  In the bottom corner of this picture, you can see an old mission church (Catholic I think).

It was interesting to learn more about the Mormon Battalion!
