Back to Back Reunions

We had the Lewis Reunion, followed the next weekend by the Durtschi Reunion.  We put on our big kid pants and made it to both of them with the whole family!

First, we drove to McCall for the Lewis reunion.
Here is Ty with his backpack, all ready to go.

Here are Jeff, Ty and Austin,

Ty hanging out with Stockton

Grandma Lewis and Mom filled up 11 candy jars and everyone got to guess how much candy was in each jar, whoever is the closest gets to have the jar and candy.  Everyone was so excited to do it, it was really fun!

We went on a hike close to McCall, it was under a mile, so we all braved it.  This was at the end of the hike at the lake.

Kate climbing all over the floating wood...maybe a little dangerous

It was freezing up there because of the brisk wind.  Luckily, Grandma brought a blanket

Rylee and Stockton took Scott and Ty on a little hike over to some snow.

Over on the snow...Braden, Kate, Brady, Jake, Talia, Scott, and Cooper

And bless Rylee's heart, she carried Ty most of the way down.  Jeff and some of the older guys ran around the lake to check it out, and while they were gone, the little kids were done, so we took off.

The kids back at the house, playing games.  The cousins all had so much fun together.

We managed to get all 3 babies awake and happy at the same time:  Tanner, Sailor, and Logan

Here were the Olympics at the park, Scott, Kate, Ty all eating donuts off a string

What a fun reunion!

We camped for the Durtschi reunion and that means lots more dirt which means not very many pictures sadly!  We camped just outside of Lava Hot Springs.  The first night, we went over to Amy's new house--it was so fun!  There was a big water slide down to a big pool of water, volleyball set up, a play house the kids could play in, and tons of games.  They also had geothermal water so the water slide was warm and the kids played on it all night.  They all had SO much fun!  We had to drag everyone away.

The next morning, everyone went on a service project, mom and baby stayed behind.  When everyone got back, we headed over to Lava Hot Springs for the day.

Saturday, we cleaned up and visited before leaving.

Hours of visiting with cousins, we love cousins so much!

Mom sleeping in Grandma and Grandpa Durtschi's trailer so everyone could get a good night sleep (it was pretty hot and this made things so much better!)

What a great reunion!  Already counting the days until the next one!

Grant, Scott (blue hat), and Austin loved having sword fights with the sticks.  They also spent a lot of time in a little cave in the trees, you can see the entrance at the right.

On the first night of the reunion, we all went over to mom's cousin Amy's house (she lived close)  She had this water slide going down a hill into this big pool of water.  The best part--it was geothermal (so very warm).  Kate, Scott, and Austin swimmed in here for a couple of hours.  Austin swallowed some water and ended up throwing up.  Luckily, no one got any brain-eating amoebas.

Everyone went for a service project which was clearing trees away from the road.  Ty loved playing on this swing.  Everyone came back very scratched up, but had fun working together.
