Durtschi Reunion

We had such a great time at the Durtschi reunion!  Our first day, we went to Bear world, we all really enjoyed seeing the bears up close.  It was crazy to see so many of them and how huge they were!

At Bear world, they had a little petting zoo, here is Logan feeding something like a deer.

Ellie, Kate feeding the goat

They also had a mini amusement park there that the kids absolutely loved!  Here are Kate and Logan, and Melissa and Leo on the train.

Kate and Ellie really wanted to go on this roller coaster as many times as possible.

Logan, Palmer, Teagan, Austin, Dexter, and Scott in the front

Addie, Grandpa, Logan, Mom

Ty, Ellie, and Lily in the back, Addie and Grandpa in the front

Logan loved the train so much!

Dad just barely fit with Ty in the locomotive at the front

Austin and the other boys loved going in the spinning ride--they got spinning a little too fast and Austin ended up with this cut, poor kid.  He was very tough about it, no tears!

We all had lunch after

The next day's big activity was playing at Grandma and Grandpa's pond.  This was so fun!
Here is Grandpa swinging off his rope swing--he hung it off his forklift.

Kate and Whitney paddling in the kayak

Brian about to tip them over

And...tipped!  This happened a lot!

Everyone gathering to hear Grandpa tell some stories from when he was younger.  The middle age kids especially ate this up, it was really fun to hear the stories, even some the adults hadn't heard.

Mom even got out on the lake with Logan, Ty, and Kate!

Ty taking Addie for a ride.  Melissa ran to the hospital after having contractions all day--luckily she was able to keep that baby inside for a few weeks after this!

Ty keeping Logan away from the water, what a good big brother!

One of the most fun activities on the lake were the races.  While racing someone, you had to paddle down to the end of the lake, a teammate would touch your canoe, then run around the flagpole and back, touch your canoe again and you would paddle back to the other side.  All of the kids and adults participated in this activity.  It was definitely a favorite!

The kids all really enjoyed the rope swing

In the car at some point, Ty tolerates a lot (sometimes) from his little brother!

There were also a few blow up toys for the little kids that were well-loved!

We had such a great time!
