February Fun

February passed by in a hurry!
Scott participated in Jr. Jazz and had a really fun year.  He improved a lot and is getting to be quite the defender!  (Kate also played and we didn't get one picture--she had a great coach and a fun season)

Doing what they love to do--READ!  Scott, Austin, and Ty

Dad planned a ski getaway for Mom and Dad one weekend--on Mom's birthday weekend (Mom turned 35).  Zac and Melissa took all 5 kids for the weekend so Mom and Dad could go play.  They stayed one night at great Grandma Durtschi's house, skiied at Grand Targhee one day, went to Rexburg and stayed the night, then to Idaho Falls the next day, shopping, a movie and going out to eat.  It was so so fun and we are so grateful to Melissa and Zac for watching the kids!

This is the only picture from the whole weekend--Logan all dressed up and ready to go outside at Melissa's.

At Austin's and Scott's school Valentines party, here is Austin decorating his cookie.

Our family tradition--make homemade pizza on Valentines Day.  Yum!

And even more yummy--a delicious chocolate trife!  We loved this.  Grandma and Grandpa Durtschi were in town and came over for a little dessert (and saved the day by bringing the piano books we left in Idaho)

Austin, Scott and Kate skiing up at Brighton ski resort, we have been having so much fun there!

Classic Saturday/Sunday morning picture--Dad making pancakes and all the kids sitting up to the counter eating them fast then he can make them.  (I believe this is the day Logan ate 5 pancakes--more than Dad ate!!)

Kate is such a good help with Logan and Logan just loves Kate--especially if she will play with him outside!

There was a lot of blood sweat and tears spent getting ready for the history fair.  Kate decided to do her project on The Great Compromise--the compromise between the Virginia and New Jersey plans to have a 2 house legislature.  Here Kate is about 9 pm the night before it was due.  Mom and Kate spent many hours on this and Dad really came through in the finish when they were ready to be done!  Kate did an awesome job and worked her guts out on this!!

Mom sewed a couple of quilts up this month as well.  One for Logan, and one for Ty.

The kids loved to help, especially Scott (here) and Kate

Logan loves wearing these safety goggles everywhere--he has been even found wearing them asleep in his bed.

This kid is also very attached to his blanket--he carries it around all day and loves to lay on it, especially in weird places like a tight box.

Logan will sit anywhere Ty is, try to do anything Ty does, and say anything Ty says.  This can be a problem at times, but pretty darn cute!

Logan LOVES vacuuming.  If it is out and he doesn't get to do it, plan on some major tears!!
