Kate's End of School Year Dance

For the last day of elementary school, Kate got to have an after school dance (and somehow Mom ended up in charge of it).

A really talented mom of one of Kate's classmates designed this overhead.

The students had learned dances throughout the year, so they all knew how to dance.  They were all required to dress up.  Here is Kate dancing with Daxton.

End of the School Year

For school, Austin had to do a science project.  He looked at how different substances reacted together.

Scott looked at whether white crayons or black crayons melt faster in the oven.

Ty got to go the aquarium for a field trip (and Mom and Logan got to come)

They got to touch a few different animals.

Memorial Day Weekend

We went up to Idaho for Memorial Day weekend.  

We went and visited Grandma Packer for her birthday.  We adore this woman!!

Spring Soccer

The four older kids all participated in spring soccer.  This is Kate's team.

Mom was chosen as coach of the year for the U12 age division--it was a pretty cool honor!  Mom got this soccer bench and a gift certificate as a reward.

Debate

In 6th grade, Kate got to participate in a debate.  This was a debate on illegal immigration.  They had to work hard on preparing for the pro and con side for many weeks leading up to this debate. They were assigned on the morning of the debate which side they would be defending.  Kate's partner was Lucy.

The arguments were amazing, these kids did a lot of hard work and it showed!

A Midsummer Night's Dream

For school in 6th grade, Kate's class got to put on the play a Midsummer Night's Dream.  They worked SO hard on this.  They built sets and practiced, practiced, practiced!

Kate also got to play two songs on the piano and did SUCH an awesome job on them.  They really added some nice ambience to the show.  It was so fun to come and watch and listen.

Spring This and That

Our tulips came up!

Ty was very excited to do a report on a leopard.  We went to the zoo and looked at leopards.  Ty worked very hard on this.

Ward Clean up--everyone pulling down a tree (Ethan Fellows had a chainsaw) so it came down in the yard.

Kate gave this to Mom for Mother's day last year.  Sadly, it broke shortly after this!!
