My favorite present this Christmas is...

We were all having a conversation tonight about what our favorite Christmas gift was.  Kate first said her favorite Christmas gift was the baby, then the conversation went something like this:

Jeff:  Mine is my family

Julie:  My family

Kate:  My family

Austin:  That I'm the youngest

We all just started laughing.  Austin loves that he is the youngest so much.  What a funny boy!

Principal's Pride

Each week, a teacher picks out a student from her class who has been excelling at something and they get Principal's Pride.  Kate has been wanting this for the whole school year and always works so hard.  I'm proud of her though, she didn't bug her teacher, just kept working along.

I go and help in her class on Mondays (the day they announce Principal's Pride) and I was there when she got it.  She didn't even have to say anything, she just showed me the envelope and gave me a big hug.  I think we both had tears in our eyes.

This was Kate's project she did for Principal's Pride.

This is Kate's principal, presenting her with her award.

These are all the students in the school that got Principal's Pride that day.

We sure are proud of you Katie Girl!!

Ruff Ruff Woooooo

A recent morning I woke up to the sound of three kids all howling, "Ruff Ruff Wooooo" over and over.  These silly kiddos had all gotten in Scott's bed while waiting for me to wake up--that is for another post!  I sure love these kids!

This was for our November preschool--this is my attempt to make turkeys from food, I know it was already obvious :)

37 weeks pregnant

Well, I made it to full term and we are all feeling pretty great about that!  I was dilated to a 1, then last week to a 3, so this baby is probably coming before Christmas.  We are all so excited!

Thanksgiving

We decided to spend Thanksgiving in Idaho this year.  Brian was so nice to offer to host and there were a lot of us (Brian, Mom, Melissa and fam, Whitney and Joe, and us--Jake's kids got sick)  It was so fun and such a yummy dinner.  The kids had so much fun playing together.  Austin and Ethan had a fun time.  Austin and Scott always like those "big boys" and it's so sweet when the big boys will give them attention.  Austin loved it.   Kate and Sasha played together the whole time and Scott kind of ran around with everybody.  It was so fun to spend a couple of days, but went by way too fast.  I was kind of sad to come home, but hopefully we'll see them again soon!

When we got home, we put up Christmas decorations.  Scott, Austin, were in charge of putting up this Little People nativity.  They did a great job (first it was set up on the piano keys :)  )
Kate putting the star on top of the tree.

Pictures to imagine:  Later that night, we all went down to BYU to a basketball game with Dave and Audrey and their family and with Jeff's parents.  We had a great time!

Santa Claus Visit

We had our Ward Christmas Party a little early this year (which was so fun by the way--so much yummy food).  We had a special visitor at the end.  Austin came and looked at him--Scott stayed on the other side of the gym, but Kate decided to go sit on his lap.  Kate asked for Strawberry Shortcake dolls and a boat.  Austin has been asking for a RescueBot and a truck that carries lots of cars.  Scott has been asking for a Rescue Bot.  We'll see if they get lucky...
