Christmas Eve

We had a very festive Christmas Eve.  Whitney came over and we all made Gingerbread houses.  It was very sticky, lots of candy, super glue and good times!

Austin with his house, he was very proud of it!

Later on...We had Grandma and Grandpa Lewis over for dinner and some fun.  Ty, Kate, Scott, Austin (who chose to stay in his pajamas all day--seems to happen a lot!)

We then read the Christmas story, then Twas the Night before Christmas

Played a new family game.

Then Don't Eat Santa, a new favorite

We're so glad for the company that joined us throughout the day and grateful for the chance to celebrate Christ's birth and enjoy the spirit of the season!

Christmas time Idaho visit

We went to Idaho the weekend before Christmas.  We hadn't been since Memorial Day weekend, so I was so homesick for my family and the kids were all excited to see their cousins!  Jake and Angie were nice enough to host our brood and we had such a great time.  The kids played together so well and Kai and Jax were so nice about sharing toys (which must have felt like a tidal wave of kids coming in to take over!  Sweet boys!)

There were also some serious games of foosball going on, and only one mishap!

What a peach!

Brian and Elise hosted a party for everyone at their house.  We had such a great time!  The kids got to open some presents from Grandma, lots of good cousin play time, intro to video games (Austin and Scott would be so addicted!), talents, taffy pulling, and just a great time!  It was so nice to be with family again!

The next morning, Grandma Packer came over to Jake's house to bring the kids their individual presents.  She made each grandchild a stuffed animal that she had made.

She also gave each family a train set.

Everyone had fun putting it together.

On our way out of town, we stopped at Grandma and Grandpa Durtschi's house.  The kids had so much fun riding the snow machine with Grandpa.  They each got a ride, it's always a party with Grandpa Durtschi!

Austin wanted to go on a fast ride, he loved it!

And when they got home, the kids set up Santa's sleigh with the stuffed animals they had just gotten and a couple of their own.  Only 2 more days til Christmas!
We loved seeing everyone, can't wait to go back!

Kate Christmas School stuff

The kids have a Christmas sing along every year--this year, the first grade sang, "All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth"  which was so fitting for Kate since she just had 6 teeth pulled--including her 2 front teeth.

We all went to help with Kate's class party.  I brought a game--Don't Eat Santa.  The kids loved it, we had a lot of fun!

Scott wanted to go around with Kate to each group, this was a pass the present game.

Christmas Happenings

We had a good time decorating our new house for Christmas.  Scott kept wearing his stocking like a sock.

Austin hanging an ornament.

Scott got to put the star at the top of the tree this year.

We also had a good time at the annual Lewis family Christmas party.  We went through a short program, ate SO much delicious food, it was a feast with all the best things!  It was really fun!

Everyone is excited for Christmas!

Train to Temple Square

We took the kids to Temple Square to see the lights.  They love to go on the train and loved the whole outing in general.

Ty gets squeezed on too much!

Scott was wanting a little independence and rode standing up for a bit.

We really enjoyed walking around Temple Square and especially the Nativity Scene presentation.  It was a great time!
