We really enjoy these three kids and are looking so forward to enjoying #4, but for now, we are enjoying how low maintenance they are:
- They sleep in--on weekends, we are rarely up before 8, yesterday it was 8:30, oh bliss!
- They all play together so well, they are always making up games, playing house, ship, cars, legos, you name is and will play independently.
- They love just hanging out--we can sit and read books for an hour and they just love that time.
- They all dress and undress themselves.
- They go to the bathroom independently (even in the middle of the night)
- They don't wake up in the middle of the night.
- They can feed themselves and even clear their own plates.
- They can communicate clearly.
- They can put on their shoes (for the most part)
- They are awesome at cleaning up their messes and do it a lot of times without being asked.
- They're pretty darn nice to each other (although we have some special not nice moments).
- We don't have to worry about nap time and bedtime and mealtime so religiously--they can just kind of go with the flow.

The list could go on, but as we get ready for this baby, we're realizing we are in for a very rude awakening!

They are becoming self-sufficient just in time! I have a feeling they will even be a help to you with the new one!
I think you'll be surprised how easy the transition is. With your older 3 so self sufficient and good you'll be able to just give that baby lots of love. And Kate is going to be changing diapers by the end of this (at least I wouldn't be surprised!). I remember trying to change Whitney's diapers when we live in Shelley, lol.
