Summertime Fun
The kids made fruit loop necklaces (and promptly ate them, yum!)
There were many forts and houses made followed by hours and hours of playing house. Ty even got in on the fun. (Scott in the background)
Ty did lots of tummy time
Sunday mornings mostly consisted of doing all the puzzles, then laying them out so we could admire our work.
Lots and Lots of Ty sitting up and playing.
It's been a fun summer

7 months old
Ty--what a bud. We really can't get enough of this sweet muffin. We all love kissing, hugging, and talking in ridiculous voices to Ty with no shame (and they get more ridiculous if that will elicit laughs and smiles)
At 6 months, Ty...
Weighs: 16 lbs 9 oz (40th percentile)
Length: 26.5 inches long (50th percentile)
Head: 44.5 cm (65th percentile)
Ty ...
-has recently taken on screaming, as in half happy/verge of hysteria scream--he manages to find that perfect tone that is so ear piercing
-has started eating solids--seems to be continuing in true JJ Lewis tradition
-sleeps like a champ--wakes up at 6-7 every morning, I'll take it!
-loves watching people, especially Austin, Scott, and Kate, he lights up when they come in the room
-loves his mama and daddy
-loves playing with toys (especially while sitting up)
-sits up like a champ, started right at 6 months
-just got 2 bottom teeth and they are A.dorable
-you don't have to work to get smiles and laughs, he is almost always pleasant and happy
-likes to have his space at bed time, wants to be put down and cuddle with his blankets
I think this list could go on forever, Ty is just so fun, we all feel so so blessed to have this little bundle in our lives.
Ever since Ty got his teeth, he can be found doing funny things with his lips, I think he is exploring the new feel of teeth.

Pioneer Day Camping with the Birdsalls
Our friends, the Birdsalls, invited us to camp up at The Spruces overnight. It was so nice to get up in the mountains, we had a great time!
These two boys are about 3 months apart
These two girls had so much fun looking for giant ants pretty much the entire time.
Scott enjoying a s'more
You may think I was trying to put up a bad picture of Jeff...
but I think...
he must just love making this face
and it looks like the kids are watching, noooooooooooooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Austin
These three boys are such pals, they pretty much just played trucks the whole time (Austin L orange, Scott blue)
My little peach (who actually slept pretty darn good)
Pancakes for Breakfast
Courtesy of this cute guy
Seriously--those cheeks need to be munched!!!
Scott and Sophie got to be good little buddies
The next day we hiked Donut Falls (along with all of Salt Lake Valley) (S, AB, AL)
Austin Lewis behind, Scott next to Kate
This was an experimental camping trip, and I have to say it went pretty well. We got a new tent since we were busting out of our last one, and everything went great. The kids had a lot of fun, we had fun sitting up late and visiting with the Birdsalls (although we had to pay the price when Ty woke up at 6, ready for the day!)

Gogee Car and other Summer Fun
Fun with Cousins (Stocton, Scott, Ashley, Ty in front, Austin to the right)
Daddy and Scott went to a World Cup Qualifier game at Real Salt Lake Stadium
You can find Austin and Scott doing this most days
And this is the Gogee car. The kids made this many times this summer by tying strings between the two vehicles (Austin, Kate, Scott)

4th of July
We had a great 4th of July. We decided to stay in West Jordan this year again and made some changes from last year that made it even better.
Here is our fireworks celebration. The kids loved the sparklers and we all loved the parachute guys. We shoot them up, then the kids run and try to catch them. (Kate pink, Scott blue, Austin orange)
Scott running in for a hug, I love him!
We went to the parade early to save a spot. We set up our canopy, then Kate and I went pretty early and hung out. We each brought books, snacks, and some cards. Then Ryan, Malece, and kids showed up and we all just hung out, then watched the parade. (Scott on the chair, Austin on Ashley's lap)
The whole crew
That afternoon, we had a swimming party. We set up the big pool and the little pool for Ty. Jeff and I even got in.
Scott, Kate, Austin
Ty was much happier to hang out outside of the water.
Squirt gun fight, all the kids were after Daddy.
At the end of the night, these three are best buddies. (Scott, Austin, Kate)
Happy Birthday America!!
