Lewis Family Reunion in Island Park

It was iffy whether or not the Lewis reunion was going to happen because of Covid. Luckily, we were able to make it happen. We all had such a great time together!

Before the reunion, Mom had to get all of the candy jars ready for the guessing game.

On the way to the reunion!

We stopped at a park in Island Park before getting to the cabin.

We spent some time in Yellowstone. This was a short hike we did up to a waterfall. It started out through some geysers and ended up here. It was beautiful.

The kids were able to go under the waterfall to a small cavern in the back. Many of the older kids did this and Austin was even brave enough to go back!

Logan and Tanner were buddies all weekend. This was the geyser spot before the hike. The colors were spectacular!

We also hiked to lower and upper Mesa Falls. This was something Mom had done as a kid so was nostalgic. (Austin pictured below)

Dad made a throw across the chasm to Uncle Dave. It was pretty incredible (there is a video of this)

One of the favorite games of the weekend was Spud. Many of the kids and some of the parents (including Mom and Dad) loved playing it.

This was a team building activity. Groups of four had to work together to stack cups up

We caught sight of Grandpa swinging one morning, it was so great!

Logan and Tanner loved riding together when we went places.

Baby Beau was a major highlight.

Kate was dying to hold him all weekend and finally got a chance.

Ty won some chocolate coins in the candy guessing game. Austin had some fun with them.

One of Mom's major highlights--finding huckleberries on the Mesa Falls trail. Some of the family was asking Mom about the berries (because it is pretty close to where Mom grew up and similar vegetation). Mom was mentioning some plants looked like huckleberries and realized they in fact WERE huckleberries. Mom sat and picked for about 2 hours while everyone else hiked. Peyton stopped and picked for a long time too.

We love our Lewis Family, such a great trip!
