A Very Medical Week

Mom took Ty and Logan in to get flu shots. It was right before lunch. Both boys got the flu shots, then we headed down the elevator. In the elevator, Ty started saying he felt dizzy. Mom thought he might just be being funny, but when the elevator stopped, Ty walked out and was leaning heavily on Mom. He ended up laying on the mat in front of the elevator. Mom called the doctor's office and they said we could get some apple juice. Mom ran up and got the apple juice and brought it back to Ty. Ty drank it, then we got in the car. Ty was not looking good, skin a weird color and lips looking grayish, then he threw up. At this point, Mom carried Ty back into the doctor's office (with Logan trailing along) because Ty really couldn't walk. A bunch of nurses and doctors came in to take care of Ty--taking blood pressure, checking vitals. The doctors decided that it seemed like vas o vega--basically a reaction to the flu shot when blood pressure drops. They watched him for a couple of hours, we got some food in him and he settled down. This was pretty scary and we are glad our Ty is okay. One thing--he definitely needs his food! We think it might have been a case of low blood sugar as well--basically just a perfect storm of conditions.

Two days later, Logan was playing out on the tramp. He came in crying that he "almost fell off the tramp." We couldn't decide for a minute whether to take him in for stitches or not. After thinking about it, we decided to since it was on his face in such a prominent place. So off Mom and Logan went to Instacare.

Logan loved getting a sucker and watching some Paw Patrol on Mom's phone. They ended up using a special glue and special tape to glue it together.

Logan was a pretty good sport.

Mom and Dad hope for more relaxing days ahead!
