Longest Christmas/Misc Post Ever

I am finally posting about Christmas +- a week on each side or so... starting with Christmas Eve

For the 2009 Christmas Eve, for fun, I made everyone matching pajama pants. They were very amateur, but it was kind of fun! We had Christmas at our house and my mom and my little sister Whitney came and spent it with us, it was a lot of fun!

Jeff in his pajama pants
Kate LOVED the blanket my mom made her, she is always hauling it around the house.
We weren't that surprised that Whitney ignored us all of Christmas Eve to read a book. It was a really good one, and it isn't the first time we have been ignored by Whitney. ( I can't judge, I ignored the family for a day while I read it too)
Jeff's parents and brother came over to spend Christmas Eve with us, we had lots of goodies (the majority of which were from Margaret), played a game, read the Christmas story, and just had a nice time.

Scott with Grandpa
Grandma and Grandpa got this basketball hoop for the boys, they LOVED it!

This is now Christmas Day. Kate got this necklace in her stocking, and still loves wearing it as a headband.

Grandma Packer with her snuggie and book. Does life get better than this?

It was the year of the kitchen set for Kate, and she has loved it. I was probably more excited than her about it!

Kate LOVES to help Daddy shovel the walks.

The day after Christmas, my brother and his family came and visited

I can't help but love this picture...
The kids watched a movie together. They play together so well, it is so sweet!

We went to Idaho for New Years and had so much fun! these kids had fun in the bath tub... then five minutes later, Kate and Teagan were crtying and the boys were slipping all over the place. It was a very short bath.
Kate and Rachel played doctor and fixed everyone. I got a pretty funny video I may post!
Scott
Grandpa pulled all the kids around in this huge sled behind the snowmobiles. They had so much fun! Sasha is on Kate's lap. Grant is in the back left, Ethan in front of him, and Kate in the front right.

Over Christmas, both Austin and Scott got really sick. They got fevers up to 103.9. I was freaking out! I'm so glad my mom was there to help me get their fevers down! This is Scott. By the time he got it, we realized it was just a virus that made their temperatures get up really high with no other symptoms. It was really weird actually. Austin got it first, we took him to the doctor, but they couldn't find anything, so they figured it was viral.

The boys sleep in their crib together these days. They are pals, they are always smiling and laughing at each other. I love it.
Austin is really on the move. He is AWESOME at going backwards. As of yesterday, he can move forward, it is a really funny sight to see! Anyway, he is always getting stuck under things, beds are a common occurrance.
My brother made us that table in the background--it is beautiful! I was so excited about it!
The kids got some Mega Bloks for Christmas, and we have been having so much fun with them! It took me back!
Kate and her brothers have so much fun together. I'm so glad they have each other!
Kate and Daddy playing Candyland
The boys are recently LOVING bread.

This sight is seen three times a day in our house. I am used to it, but I thought years down the road, it might be kind of funny!
Austin stuck again.
Kate is such a little helper. She is always wanting to vacuum, mop, change diapers (we don't let her do that one.)

We had such an awesome Christmas. It was so nice to spend time with so much family! And I have to say, I just loved being at home and relaxing. It was a wonderful holiday season!

Love these 88 cent pajamas

It's funny, these pajamas were only 88 cents each--given to us by one of the best bargain shoppers of all time. They have ended up being my favorites! I love how they hug my boys' bodies, especially because they are so big. They just make me giggle when they wear them.

Scott (he has started grinding his teeth, Kate did the same thing)

Austin (happy as can be and wants to get into anything and everything, he is also becoming quite the accomplished mover--only backwards)

A typical scene at our house...Scott sees a toy Austin has--Austin knows and tried to keep the toy for himself.

Scott reaches for it, I don't know what happened this time, but there is a lot of toy stealing going on. It used to be always Scott, but Austin is holding his own!

Happy boys, they are sure getting to be a lot of fun!

A couple more things

Kate and Scott

Since I did my last post, I keep remembering more things:
Kate and poop
Me: Kate, did you have a poo poo?
Kate: Yes, but I'm still working on it

Me: Wow Kate, you had a big poo poo
Kate: Yeah it's HUGE (she says this with a squeal on Huge)

Kate: Mom, I just peed on my poop

I think she might be ready to start potty training. I feel my first New Year's Resolution coming on...

Also, is weighing in at about 28 pounds.

Scott
Is scooting around, but only backwards, it's pretty funny

Is starting to feed himself--cheerios, corn, etc.

Is weighing in about 19 pounds
Austin left Scott right
Austin
Is becoming a momma's boy, I don't know what to do, he's the first of the three to have stranger anxiety. I can't lie, part of me loves that he wants me, but I'm trying not to feed it!

Scoots all around the room, he is all over, but also only backwards. He is also starting to rock, he is going to be crawling any day (or week, I guess you never know)

Is feeding himself--crackers, corn, etc.
Is weighing in about 18 pounds

Jeff is the Man!

Woo Hoo! Jeff got his results back from his Professional Engineering exam...and HE PASSED!!! There are smiles at our house tonight!

I know I already posted this picture, but I am still in amazement over all the books he brought. It was an open book test, so these were his study materials.
We are so proud of you Jeff! (And glad we don't have to do it again)

Things I want to Remember

Jeff's Quirks: We went out to eat the other night and got some Italian pizza--Jeff pulls out an avocado from home and puts it on his pizza! This one gave me a good laugh

Kate:

Kate: Did you have a good night Mommy? (said in a very grown up voice)

Me: Are you going to put on your socks?
Kate: No, they're weird.

After I say good night and Jeff is putting her to bed, she runs out and says "C-ya" one more time.

When she wakes up either from a nap or in the morning, she runs down the hall to jump into your arms for a hug.

Loves dressing herself, especially during nap time.

Loves socks, on hands and feet.

Loves taking care of her puppy. Recently, she starts putting her baby down for a nap often. This includes swaddling the puppy, putting him in her bed, covering him with her blanket, shutting (and locking) the door, and lights off. When she is around there, she talks quiet and tells us to talk quiet too.

Is so sweet to her brothers, I can't believe it. If they are crying she'll run and give them a hug and say, "It's okay." She really helps out so much with them, getting them toys, getting diapers.

Is getting interested in letters. She recognizes K and always says, "That's a K for Kate."

Is also getting interested in numbers. She loves to count things.

Loves cooking with me. I love it.

Is a little joy in our life. We are so grateful we have our little Katie Girl.

Scott:
Is constantly stealing toys from Austin. When they are playing, if Austin starts crying, 90% of the time Scott has taken a toy.

Is SO curious, he just dives for everything in sight. He really loves paper and has already ruined a few pages in a math book of one of my tutoring clients.

Loves scratching things--I think just to see what they are all about. He loves scratching the couch, toys, and Austin's head. It's funny because we'll be sitting there and all of a sudden, hear that unmistakable scratching sound.

Recently has a REALLY easy going temperament.

Has 8 teeth.

Is moving all over the place--not forward, but every other direction by scooting backwards, rolling over and pulling himself around with his arms

Is turning into a little champion eater of solid foods, man it's nice!

Is finally sleeping through the night consistently. The boys are rarely up before 5 and have even slept til 7 the last few days! Heavenly!

Might be left-handed! It's hard to tell yet, but it seems like it.

Loves giving fives, if I have my hand out, he will hit it over and over again.

LOVES to bounce in the jumperoo still. It is hilarious because he gets some serious air!

Tries to clap. It's cute.

Austin:
Is a happy little guy and gives an easy smile to about anybody. He just seems to have a really sweet little spirit.

Is thinking about holding his bottle sometimes. I have spoiled them with that dangit and didn't start trying to make them hold their bottles til a few weeks ago, so I am doubtful that it will happen.

Loves scratching things too. Austin doesn't scratch Scott, but loves scratching too.

LOVES to bounce in the jumperoo still. It is hilarious because he gets some serious air!

Sometimes seems to get a little stranger anxiety.

Has 7 1/2 teeth (one more is about to pop through)
Is moving all over the place, again not forward, but every other direction by rolling, scooting, or pulling with his hands.

Is a good little eater. He has a wide repertoire such as bananas, yogurt, peas, sweet potatoes, crackers, and that's all I can think of right now.

Is finally sleeping through the night consistently. The boys are rarely up before 5 and have even slept til 7 the last few days! Heavenly!

Seems to love his sleep. He will just sleep and sleep during naptime sometimes.

Waves sometimes, when he feels like it.

Both
Get teeth within days of each other. It's crazy.

We sure love our boys, they are getting so fun and we are so grateful to have them.

Maybe when I think of more, I'll put it.
