Good night's sleep

It is amazing what a good night's sleep does for you (and what a bad night does too). This is tiring, but I am guessing every mom feels tired, especially when new people are added to the family. Anyway, these little babies are such good boys. They are big grunters, but don't cry a lot. They kind of keep each other calm. They are growing so much too! It has just been over a week and I can really notice a difference--especially with Scott. Scott is the bigger one, so it is always hard to tell if Austin is growing just because Scott is always bigger. They both seem to be filling out though, and eating a lot! Scott is on the right and Austin on the left
We went to check to see if Kate was asleep and found her like this--with her legs halfway under her dresser. She is such a funny girl!
We haven't had her hold the boys yet, she has had a lingering cough (that luckily, they haven't caught).

This was not posed--so sweet!
We are trying the swaddling method of bathing this time of around and Scott and Austin both LOVE it! It cracks me up how relaxed they are!
We are having a really fun time with the boys, even with the nights, it is great to have them home. That is the hard thing--the nights and hopefully soon they will get better. Everyone asks us how Kate is handling it, and she is handling it really well. I probably shouldn't be blogging and should be using this spare time to play with her, but she is doing well.
A side note--one thing about being sleep deprived is that everything is so much funnier. I love it because a small little thing just makes me hysterical.

Can I complain for a second?

I'm tired!

3 under 2

(for a few more weeks anyway) We have had a wild few days! Kate loved to meet her brothers and has been really good about it so far--we are just barely starting though, so we will see how that goes! I have been pleasantly surprised that I have some free time, not a lot (that is used to clean the kitchen, shower, and of course, blog! etc.) The scary thing is that this is when I have Jeff's help all day long! It is kind of a fun challenge to see how efficient we can get.

This is the first meeting
We have the boys sleeping together and they seem to like it!
So sweet...
And, of course, I have to throw in a little math, so

Scott + Austin
= Kate! Kate is a giant!

Impromptu Choir

This was the greatest thing! At church yesterday, they had an impromptu choir and anyone who wanted to could go up and sing. Jeff and I both went up and sang. I was so busy thinking how great it was and forgot to sing some of the time, but we had a good ole time. Yea for impromptu choir!

Funny Day Monday

So funny--as I was leaving the hospital, there are some tracks. The person in front of me (this car) couldn't decide whether to go or not when the rail was coming down. They inched forward, just enough for the bar to rest on their car! I could not believe it! And they just sat there with the bar on their car until they went up. I don't know if they were older people (there was a handicapped sticker on the car) or what the story was, but it was hilarious!!
Kate has decided during this past week that she is done with cribs. She has been put to bed in pack'n'plays and kept climbing out. Then, Saturday night, after we put Kate to bed, she comes walking down the hall! It was pretty darn funny! So for now, we put a queen size mattress from downstairs in her room.

We got our new van too! We got it a week ago and we are loving it!

I got a couple sweet pictures of the boys--I love these little guys!

This was not posed!
Kate with her cousins, she loved playing!
Not the best picture, but this is the last picture with the precious Civic. We also sold it last week.

Time for an update

This is going to be a long one! We have been so busy! We go see the boys about three times a day. They are starting to nurse now and kind of starting to take bottles, but it is still going to be a while!

Scott got out of his isolette a couple weeks ago and is doing great in his little crib.
Kate has started helping me make bread. It is pretty darn cute. She likes to get her little bread and copies what I am doing--and eats quite a bit of the dough. It is really fun!

Austin has been in his crib for a week or so and is also doing great in there. Someone made these little knit beanies for the babies and I love them! They are so precious!

Scott and Austin both love their binkys. I tried to catch a picture of Austin here holding it in his mouth but he really hates the flash.
This is Scott a few minutes earlier doing the same thing but I actually did catch it. I love it!

Kate recently loves to take pictures and look at them. Something so funny she has started doing is looking at different things and saying, "oh, cute." So darn cute!
Grandpa came over to watch Kate and he let her decorate him with stickers, what a good sport!

Who is who?

I LOVE holding them together! They are such sweet little boys!

Kate got to play with some cousins and she had a great time! She loves her cousins!

Time to Potty Train?

I had been trying to get Kate down for a nap and I heard her still rustling around, so I went to check on her. She had managed to get a diaper (which is in a side pocket) and wipes out of her diaper bag (on the desk by her bed) and when I walked in the room, she said, "poo poo." I checked and she did have a poop. It cracked me up!

This is Austin having a little stretch.
This is also Austin...sucking his thumb! I have to admit, I have a soft spot for thumb suckers since I was one until 1st grade. He loves his little thumb and always is looking for it.
This is Scott being held by Daddy. He is such a sweet boy
Scott has Jeff's ring on his fingers.
These boys are so darn sweet, I can't believe it. They love looking around at everything and checking things out. They are doing well.
