What we have been up to...

We have LOVED the jumperoo! Hours of entertainment (seriously--Austin has been known to stay in this for up to two hours--bad mothering, but so convenient!)

And both boys have fallen asleep at least once, this is Scott.
Scott left, Austin right--they love trying to play with the same toy.
Going to some BYU football, we love going to the games, and on top of that, a visit from my dad! Always fun to see them!
And sitting up!! (Almost!) They can both sit up for at least 10 seconds or so, depending on when it is, but Scott has sat up for about a minute, so they are so close. This is Austin, and he is doing pretty darn good too!
Scott
I spilled almost an entire BIG box of cheerios by trying to hit a fly with it. I would love to claim that Kate made this mess, but I did it (and I didn't get that stupid fly either!)
I have loved this little bike trailer where all these little skinny bums (well Kate is a skinny bum anyway!) fit. They like it pretty well too!
We have LOVED our raspberries. This is by far our best garden produce year out of the 4 we've had a garden. We got about 8 batches of jam, 2 delicious raspberry pies, some salsa, some canned peaches, and we have 18 big pumpkins (more pictures to come of that!) We have never had even close to this good of a production year, so we are thinking it was all that rain that came early and it being a cooler year. Anyway, it has been fun to see it happen.
The kids all love each other and that has been fun (we'll see how much they love each other in a couple years!)
I even got really brave and took all the kids to the zoo!
Carson, Kate, and Sadie.
The baby elephant was SO cute!
We have been taking Kate to all the BYU games, and she has been doing well, she loves going, and it's nice because it can be our special date with her.

We have bathed all the kids together a little bit. Each time we have had them all together, without fail, you will hear Kate scream, "_____ peed on me." I can't help but laugh!
Jeff has been studying SOOO hard for his PE. It will be over in 2 weeks, so we are glad! Jeff has been putting in so much time in trying to get ready!
LOVED having my mom here for a week! After she left, I was SO rejuvenated. It was just a really fun week!
Kate and her cousin Kyle
Kate is so sweet to her brothers (this is Austin)
Playing with cousins at the park.

The boys do this on a regular basis, somehow, they put their little feet up and pull this down.
Buying lots of diapers and wipes--here is about $400 worth! I love it (this does last a couple months)

And, this has been my big project--252 4 inch squares! It has taken a long time, but I think it turned out pretty cute. I just finished today. This is for Kate by the way.
Life is good though! We are starting to feel like we are getting in the swing of things--only 8 months! It's a good think I didn't know that in the beginning because that sounds like a really long time, but it has actually flown by! The boys are so fun and I am just enjoying our little family.

Today, it's Worth it

The last 8 months, I'll admit, there have been a lot of hard days. Occasionally though, there are those days that I am so glad I am staying home. Today it just struck me. I am so happy to be a part of my kids' lives.

If you were a fly on our wall...

You might hear:

"Lets not pull Austin by his head"

"Don't play in the toilet water"

"What a big poo poo ________!" (Insert Kate, Austin, or Scott)

"Don't get in Mommy's scriptures" (This one is said at least once a day)

"Oh, that is so sad..." (I love Love and Logic) or "Uh Oh"

And my favorite from Kate:
"I love you very much ________" (insert Mommy or Daddy)

Done pumping...almost

I have such mixed feelings about quitting pumping. It has not been that fun, but I do love giving my babies my milk and I like knowing that it helped them along a little bit. I decided to quit though a week and a half ago. I haven't pumped since then, so I thought my milk supply was diminishing pretty good. The last few days, I have been getting pretty uncomfortable though so I decided to pump tonight and I got over 10 oz! I couldn't believe it! Especially because it has been a week and a half! Almost there.

In other news, the boys weighed 15 lbs on our scale! The method isn't 100% though--we will weigh ourselves holding the babies, then not holding the babies and subtract. Still, they have got to be close to that! I can't believe it because Kate was only 16 or 17 lbs at 1 year and they are only 6 months. Kate's only at 25 lbs and also I think both Scott and Austin's heads are close to the same size as Kate's, I might have to put a picture up of this because it is pretty funny!

Visitors and the 4th of July

Beware--I have a lot of pictures on this post! I just have a hard time editing pictures out, so enjoy! (Also, I accidentally turned on this setting that made some pictures turn out with weird colors, so no, we did not dye Teagan's, Kate's, and my grandma's hair pink)

My sister Melissa came with her little boy (who is so darn cute!) and him and Kate got along so well. By the end, they were ready to be the center of attention again, but they did great!

I can't remember if this ended well or not...
We were in this pool pretty much every day (even the day that a storm rolled in!)

My mom is amazing!

Melissa did Kate's hair so cute most of the days. I learned a few tricks and got some new ideas!
4 generation picture
Kate found these necklaces and had her cousins chasing after her. This was the best picture I got, but it was pretty fun to see her running!
Aunt Jeanne has a really fun playground and the kids loved it!

Us girls looking at this cute photo album that Whitney made. It had some very professional looking poses by all of us from our early days.

I love being in the Valley for the 4th. I love the little parade, I love the huckleberry milkshakes (even though that didn't happen this year) and I love seeing friends and family. You can see my sister's head poking up on the side of this float.

We had a rough go at the parade. We really wanted to go especially for Kate. We got caught in traffic (yes there is traffic even in remote parts of the world) and parked about a mile away from where my stepmom had saved spots. Jeff carried one of the boys in a pack and Kate on his shoulders while I carried the other boy. We were a spectacle (which we are starting to get used to in general). Kate started crying when some cars revved their engines and didn't stop for most of the parade. When the Durtschi float walked by, we decided just to walk with them and surprisingly, all the kids were happy with that! It was a wild time! I wish I could have taken the picture when Jeff had all three kids piled on, but I didn't dare in case one slipped off!

My sister has this cool bike and just got a little child seat as you can see. We LOVED it! I am ready to go out and buy myself one!
We had such a good couple of weeks--first with Melissa, she was so helpful and I just loved having her here, I wish she lived across the street. Then we had such a good time on our trip--I loved seeing all of my family and spending time with them. I love the 4th of July!

How did I ever live without boys?

It's funny. When I had Kate, I secretly thought girls were the best and the most fun, but I cannot believe how much fun my boys are and how much I love them. Their little spirits are so different than Kate's was. I just really don't know how I lived without little boys before, I love them so much and feel SO blessed to have them here (even if they are giving me a run for my money).

The boys are always linking arms or holding hands. It is so sweet!
Just this week, I have started putting the boys in this bouncer, they don't really know what it is all about yet.

I had to throw this picture in--please notice how bent her legs are! Kate loves this toy! He's got the look...

My handsome boys...

Look at those luscious little lips

They are growing up! They are almost 6 months old! It is weird that it has been so long!
