New England Trip Day 9

The next morning, we played more at the beach (pictures got mixed with yesterday), then in the afternoon, we left New Hampshire and headed for Vermont. We were within 20 minutes or so of Maine, so we headed there to add one more state to our list.

When we got to Vermont, we were amazed at all of the trees, rivers, etc. It is so beautiful there! It used to be only 20% trees about 200 years ago, but now it is about 80% trees. There are so many rivers and the sights are breathtaking.

This river is right by the Joseph Smith Birthplace, so we headed down and hopped around on some rocks. Below is Scott

Grandma and Grandpa made us a delicious dinner and we got to eat it outside.

After dinner, we went down to the road and got some Maple ice cream--which was so delightful!

The kids loved playing with Grandpa that night

It was so fun to get to the Joseph Smith Birthplace and see where Grandpa and Grandma have been living and working for the last 1 1/2 years.
